Jamaica Street Studios are proud of its artists past and present. Here is a glimpse at some of the talent which has passed through its doors, be it to Masters courses in Art at some of London's most prestigious universities, or to pastures new in England and abroad.

 



SARAH RHYS

At JSA 2004-2006

 

Muliti-disciplinary artist

 

Recently worked as a photographer during a trip to Mt Cameroon..

 

Now working on a photographic project with Hazel Nixon.

Painter

 

Recently moved to London to work as an artist.

 

Now working on the promotion of his latest collection of work; 'We All Want the Swamp'.

DAVID ROGERS

At JSA, 1999-2001

 

Studio Ceramicist

 

Left JSA to start Botany Art Studios in St. Werburgh's, Bristol, which is still running.

 

Now sells his work nationally, from his own pottery in the New Forest.

LIZI SANCHEZ

At JSA, 2003-2005

 

Sculptor, Installation Artist

 

After leaving JSA, Lizi went onto study an MFA at Goldsmiths College, London.

 

Since graduating, Lizi has stayed in London, where she currently lives and works.

CHRISTOPHER SAGE

At JSA, 2001-2005

 

Painter and Installation artist

 

Christopher is a painter and installation artist based in Berlin. 

 

He also works for a number of galleries including 'Haunch of Venison', Berlin and 'Weissfaktor; raum fur zeitgenosische kunst'

Left Jamaica Street Studios, to teach Art full time.  Still living in Bristol and focusing more on photography.
